Hello From Colorado!

I'm new to the forums, wanted to say hello! I started riding dirt bikes with kids about 10 years ago, but never really did road riding until 2 years ago. After wife decided she didn't want me around any more, I bought a KLR 650 and quickly fell in love with riding, esp adventure riding. Few months later, bought a Triumph Street Scrambler 900, and have since upgraded the KLR 650 to a BMW GS/A 1250 and my Street Scrambler 900 to the Scrambler 1200 XE.

Last summer, got in around 15k miles. Joined Iron Butt Association and earned 1000/24hrs and 1500/36hrs club. Plan on doing at least that much riding this summer!

I'm new to mechanics/motors, but devoted to learning more, esp since these bikes can cost so much to take to the shop.

I'm just north of Colorado Springs in Colorado, and frequently make trips out to Phoenix and down to San Antonio to see family.

Welcome! Are you in the area of the Academy, or further into the woods? A girlfriend and I went to the Springs to visit her son on his birthday, and we also stopped in on one of my brothers, and the Academy.

I'm just north of the Air Force Academy in Monument. Academy is maybe 10 minutes away.
