Hi all,
My name is Andy. I reside in Campbelltown, Sydney Australia.
I am soon to purchase a 2019 Thruxton 1200 R.
I owned my first bike in 1993...an old 1979 SR250 Yamaha Thumper.....hmmmm maybe it was an 81 but it had the XT engine in it none the less.
Subsequent bikes have been a lovely 1984 Honda VF750F v4, a Honda CB250 which I sort of converted into a cafe racer....the usual stuff...Ace bars, braided lines and a brilliant 2007 Kawasaki ZRX1200r...
I have a few academic qualifications such as a degree in Business, an Advanced Diploma in Asia Pacific Marketing and a Diploma in Market Research and other bits and bobs...blah blah...
I have worked in the IT industry, Logistics, Warehouse management, on Farms, Hydraulic and Engine mineral and synthetic oils sales, medical products supplies etc...
Just to name a few...
Over the last 10 years I have been a motorcycle postman here in Oz... firstly riding CT110 Hondas, now riding NBC110 Hondas... you may giggle but hey... I get to ride all day every day... and still love it... the 110cc Hondas are lucky to max out at 80kms per hour but they are bullet proof and you can still wipe out badly at low speeds as many of us know ha ha.

other boring stuff...married, kid, cat, dog, electric guitar, pool table, practice martial arts.........................

Hello and welcome to TT from eastern Canada BBEER
Great intro! it sounds like you have a very full life TUP TUP
I wish more new members would do something similar.
A couple of years ago I vacationed in the great city of Sydney and had the time of my life TUP TUP

@Horsehead Andy welcome to TT from the Sunshine State. Love your intro. TUP Regarding the Honda NBC 110, it much more fun to ride a slow bike fast than it is to ride a fast bike slow, BGRIN. My wife has a Honda Big Ruckus (250 cc) and it is fun to ride around town.

Welcome to TT from another Eastern Canadian.
Interesting intro. If you're doing what you like to do, then it's not really work.
Jump in, look around and enjoy the forum and your soon to be new ride.

P.S. I had a '84 VFR750F years ago as well.

Hi Carl. Thanks for saying G'day. It is great to hear from you. It is also cool that you appreciate that riding a slow bike at its absolute limit can be sooo much fun. You have my absolute respect for the fact you have been riding for 60+ years.....hats off.......

Hello brother....great to have another welcome from Canada....so true about enjoying what you do making it tolerable...truth is that the job is mind numbingly boring but everything gets better once I'm out on a trusty steed. I just pretend that the NBC110 supercub is a 2019 Triumph Thruxton R.............Hope we can chat sometime.
