That would be my advice too. The exhaust pipes cool off fairly quickly so give it a little time before you cover the bike.Nope. Header & exhaust tube get hot. Don't cover the bike until it's had time to cool.

thanks to all who answered. this actually makes sense. I was being careless...oh well.I also wait for the bike to cool down before covering it
I'm a new Bonnevile rider. Yesterday I melted a hole in my bike cover by touching it to my exhaust header. Is there some sort of heat shield that people put on their bikes to prevent this? If this is a stupid question, please have patience.
