The battery was dead and I tried to charge it with no success. I replaced the battery and the headlight will not work. I checked the fuse and it is good.

Thoughts?

Sounds like a ground problem without knowing bulb condition. First check if the lamp is working. Switch between high and low beam. If neither light works then it could be in the control board.
Hi
What is the Battery Voltage?
Its a bit of a elimination game things to check off
Do any of the lights work?
Do the Indicators work?
Does the motor Start and charging light go out?
Does the Horn Work?
Has the Main Beam Dip Switch been damaged?
Are all the plugs and sockets in the headlamp shell connected?
It could be a faulty Relay in the light Circuit worth checking if there is power to the relay socket or replace the relay with a new, Or a Known good one to check if thats the problem.

You need a multimeter , Test for voltage at the plug for the headlight with the engine running this will confirm a circuit You can then trace back if required . Hopefully you will find its a simple case of lamp replacement .
