Heading to North Carolina

I leave in the morning for North Carolina. If Mae Lyne goes with me, we will load my Bonnie in the truck and head north. If she does not go, I will ride. The distance is 598 miles (962 kilometers). It is the annual gathering of New Triumph Bonneville forum riders and the chance to spend time with old friends and meet folks that I only know through the internet. I look forward to this all year long..

We used to meet and stay and Deals Gap (the Dragon). However, Tennessee LEO's have taken to harassing bikes in that area; so we now meet and stay in Maggie Valley. There is so much good riding in western NC that anywhere you stay and ride out of is excellent.

We will head for home Sunday morning. If I ride up there, I will probably make it a two day trip up and back. If we drive, I will drive straight through each way. "See" you all Monday or Tuesday.

Dale it is big; but it's a truck, an F-350 crewcab, long bed, diesel dually.:y115: I have not driven it in four months. Mae Lyne has taken it around the neighborhood to keep the battery up.
