Has anyone used soft sport saddle bags on the 800 without supports?

Want to get a set of sport saddlebags, and was wondering if anyone has had them on without any separate supports? not sure how hot the stock exhaust would get :y8:

suggestions are welcomed... if there is already a thread on this, let me know..

I saw a rider with soft throw over bags on an XC. He had an arrow exhaust and the bags did not seem to be affected when touching the can.
