Happy Independence to all of you in the USA! Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend. Please remember the price of that independence and all the blood shed to earn it and keep it.

Happy 4th of July to everyone! I am going to spend mine with my wife and a family of Triumph riders, one of which is selling me his original 1976 Bonneville today. My first Meriden Triumph, welcome me to the world of Lucas electrics! See my recently added pics for a good view of it.

Dave, is this bike in original condition or has it been restored? It looks GREAT!

Carl, it is not restored. The gasoline tank has some nicks and rust, but other than that I believe it is mostly original. I do know the fenders have been replaced, it looks like an aftermarket grab rail with sissy bar, and the mufflers may be replacements as well. The guy I bought it from is the second owner, and he told me the top end has been re-done, but is still on the original bore.

I would do a compression check and a check of the oil pressure. GrandPaul can tell you what else you might need to check. You got a nice bike. Does it start easily?
