Thank you all for the good wishes! I had a fabulous five days with all three kids, all six grandkids and lots of friends, relatives, and fellow bikers. I will post my pics in this thread. My kids rented a big house through airbnb on the St Johns River in Sanford, FL It was big enough that they all stayed there and gave me an awesome party. 56 folks attended.

My party was Saturday, June 29th. On Friday my family and I spent the day at New Smyrna Beach.

There is not much beach in Colorado. My granddaughter is soaking it in.

Wonderful pictures! Love the button BGRIN TUP TUP
Thank you, Rocky. My daughter-in-law created that button for me! It describes me well! BGRIN

Wow Carl you finally did the big jump, well done.

That beach setting is stunning and it seems you all had a great time.
Thanks Dave. The jump was absolutely fantastic! I have already signed up and paid for second jump.

All of my kids love the beach and the grand kids do also. New Smyrna is indeed a gorgeous beach.

The photographer was the first out of the plane and I was second, followed by my son in law, daughter and granddaughter in law. My son in law was the first to land; he is the heaviest. I landed second followed by my granddaughter in law. I could see her above me all of the way down. Sheryl was the last to land; she is a light weight.

During free fall, i cold hear the roar of the wind and feel the wind; but there was no sensation of speed. My instructor told me were falling at about 140 knots/161 miles per hour/259 kilometers per hour. At 6000 ft he had my pop the chute and it got very quiet. My instructor and I could carry on a normal conversation. He had me take control of the chute, do turns - both slow and fast- and I made the approach to the LZ, at 600 ft, he took over for the very smooth landing.

I tip my helmet to you for "taking the leap" BGRIN
I don't think I could do it.
I'll bet you could. And you would really enjoy it. On the D-Day anniversary, a 97 year old vet who jumped into Normandy on D-Day tandem jumped back into Normandy. He said this jump was a lot safer - no one was shooting at him!! So I know you could do it.

Wow Carl. Fantastic get together with family. One to remember for sure. Looks like everyone had a great time.
Kudos to you for doing the jump. Must have been a great thrill.
Great looking family.

Thank you Steve. I do, indeed, have a great family. The jump was quite a rush. I have signed up to jump again! It is even better than
riding!
