It's a bit early to be posting this on 6 June, but it's already tomorrow somwhere on earth, so here goes.
On a Friday evening on 7 June, 1963, my wife and I were married in a small Protestant church outside of the city where we have lived all these years as man and wife and raised our son and a daughter.
Friday, 7 June, 2013, will mark our 50th wedding anniversary.
You can't help but say, "Where did the time go?"
They have all been great years with nothing in the way of tragedy or adversity; just the usual loss of relatives and loved ones as time passes. Life has been good to us in so many ways, but it takes some effort to make the most of what you're given and what you want to achieve. For us, it didn't seem like all that much effort.
Unfortunately, my wife's health the past nine years has not been good and life has become a bit of a struggle for her. But with my support she gets along very well.
I know I couldn't have done any better, and after all these years together, I have a feeling she feels the same way
