Excellent video; my compliments to Lake. That is gorgeous country. I am amazed at the lack of timber. I noticed toward the end of the video you were riding on the right side of the road instead of on the left as in most of the video.

Hi Carl, it does appear that we are riding on the right hand side of the road.
I am not sure how Lake has done it but he has flipped the film over.
Because of a road closure, we had to do that section of the route in reverse. Instead of riding from Carlisle to Bowness, we had to go to Bowness and then ride that section in reverse back towards Carlisle. Lake has flipped the film somehow to make it appear we are riding towards Bowness!

Carl, glad too see you have not lost your Sgt Majors eye for detail :y18:

Gumpt thanks for the video, have to get up there one day when its not raining.

Gump, thanks for the explanation. I had wondered if there were some province or something where you drive on the right side of the road.

Geoff, I don't think you ever lose that eye for detail. It is drummed into you and it can make the difference between life or death. Mae Lyne hates to go to the cinema with me; I pick films apart. :y114:

Thanks for sharing your trip. What history!!! To actually stand where Romans once were and to see how they lived and etc. Great vid.

Gumpt mate,

That was brill. When I'm over in the old country maybe next year, I intend to ride some of that part of the UK that I never went to in my youth. I used to travel North from The Wirral where I grew up but never managed to make it past the pubs in Coniston.. :) Bit of a bugger that!

Thanks for posting the vid, was magic!!
