I have been a Triumph guy at heart since 1982 (I was 14) When I saw that 1978 Bonneville T140E. It was soo cool. Then my neighbors boyfriend also had a an old BSA Chopper. (no clue what year) But there was something about the P- Twins that drew me.
Lets Bounce up to the year the new Triumph Twins came out. I was in LOVE and really liked the America / Speedmaster. I had taken my learning knocks on a Yammie XJ 700 and a KZ1000 Police (a retired sheriffs bike. Really fun) bike. For my 3rd bike I told the then wife, I'M GETTING A NEW AMERICA. That was 2005. That bike has been with me ever since! Damn fine and reliable bikes. I have a bunch of standard mods and just dropped about 2K in upgrades this palst year on her. best find was finally ditching my corbin gunfighter for the Norman Hyde gel seat.
At the beginning of this month, (Feb 2022) I came across a smoking deal on my 2012 T-Bird Storm ABS. a 10 year old bike with only 4,700 miles on the clock. I paid off my truck in Jan. BOOM didn't argue or haggle. I will take that bike! (about $9,000 after TTL) It came with the Triumph Gel king and queen saddle, driver back rest and passenger QD rest and luggage rack, dart screen (in my picture, its been swapped) and the Triumph bag mounts with leather bags. I had to replace the battery as one night at 30 degrees and it was dead. Im pretty sure it was the original battery. and didnt trust the dealer when he said the oil had been changed. (it had not, wont be back there for any other reasons!)
Mods that are done or forthcoming to the Storm: Pretty nice gradient black screen, and a good cellphone holder, added pigtail to battery, and a K&N filter. changed out ugly orange reflectors for black white thin line ones.
Next month I will be getting a big order from FAST EDDY SPORTS. I have to pump his shop. This is the guy who will walk you through anything over the phone! He is awesome and has a YT channel also. So support a Brit Bike mom and pop shop
:
HOG SLAYERS W/ CAT REMOVAL KIT
KURYAKYN RIOT X MINI BOARDS
LT tank badges
Header collars
and a few other tid bits I cannot remember at this time. LOL
One of the pictures i made for my dad, so I have to point out the obvious.
