Hi all.
After half a century of riding everything from Japs, Italian and Harleys I finally find my 38th bike being a 650 OIF bonnie. Gradually sorting thru the endless evidence of poor maintenance and abuse. People say Harleys are unreliable but my last four were both used and reliable. I still have a 07 Dyna and bought the Triumph to tinker with …….. little did I know! It managed 200 miles before the TS main ate its cage ….. a previous owner must have known because I found remains of a magnet in the crankcase.

Howdy and welcome! Buying anything used has it’s good points and bad. Enjoy. Beautiful old motorcycle.
Very true. 40 years ago I bought a tidy AJS 350 single and it mashed its big end shells on the way home. 12 miles, again previous owner 'fixed' and sold it as the evidence was there it had just been done.
Today you are very lucky to actually ride a used bike you are buying before the seller is off down the road with the payment.
Still, after 38 bikes the duds were relatively few.
