Google Street View Now in SA

Great to see Google Street View now working on our SA Maps. Had great fun spend many hours looking around my home town the other day. For those that don't know how street view works do the following
1. Click on this link - http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=South+Africa&sll=51.167164,-0.123474&sspn=0.833568,1.766052&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=South+Africa&z=5
2. Zoom into your town to the map view.
3. Now on the left at the top of the + - bar look for the gold man. Drag and drop him onto the position on the map that you want to see in street view

Google Street View is pretty helpful at times.

My Son was looking for a new apartment and could Google the address and see an actual picture of what the property looked like before bothering to inquire about it with the owner.

They are also the subject of a lawsuit (surprise!) here in the USA stemming from their practice of also listing Wi-Fi Hotspots. It seems they drove around and had a Wi-Fi Hotspot detector in their vehicle which pinpointed them. The only problem was that it picked up PRIVATE home networks and often times listed their personal data collected about their network.
