So how many of your spent most of your day playing on the Google Doodle? It was brilliant. In celebration of Les Paul. Guitar strings played perfectly. My son managed to play the Darth Vader song on it! I just made a lot of noise but I had great fun doing it!

Whenever there's a special anniversary like Picasso's death, or Einstein, Mozart etc, Google change their standard logo to a logo depicting whatever's being remembered, but the 'doodle' still spells out Google. Yesterday was in celebration of Les Paul so the doodle was an electric guitar and as you dragged your mouse over the strings, it actually played perfect notes - there was a little keyboard icon just below the strings and if you clicked the icon, you could play the notes on your keyboard.

Google: google doodles and you can see all the previous doodles.

Yesterdays doodle was brilliant!

You can also record whetever you played. Click that icon under it and it says "recording" and after you play something, click it again to stop recording then a line of text shows up next in the text feild next to it. Paste that into the browser and you can play back whatever you just recorded.
