Last Saturday I purchased 5 ltr of Penrite HPR30 mineral oil for my 69 TR6R, I've been using this oil in my classic bikes for many years. I get home and notice a small difference in the labeling on the new container compared with the half full last purchase still unused on the shelf. Now I want to mix the unused last purchase with the new but ... is it the same???
After looking about on the net I go to the Penrite Oil home page and find the "contact and feedback" area. I describe the oil on hand, the new oil and my bike along with my desire to save money by using the old first and mixing with some new, this is now late Saturday night. Monday morning 7:00 am I get an email from them saying the difference is all about marketing and go ahead mix the oils as they are the same, they go on with additional information about my bike having separate oil in the transmission etc etc and then attach links to recommendations for various makes and models, a link if the answer wasn't helpful and another for suggestions at to improving the service.
