Great video; thanks for the post. Like Rocky, I remember many of those bikes new. And Geoff, we off roaded on them - there wasn't anything else. But they were at least 100 pounds lighter than a comparable bike today and the centers of gravity were low. My 68 TR6 is very easy to handle off road.

useta take my 650 into the high california desert in the late 60's with my sweety. wonderful rides and i was careful when she was on the pillion, even so we had a few episodes where we had to drag the bike out of the brush or up out of an arroyo. heh! they were heavy but we always made it back home. i useta pack a 2 gallon gas can on the sissy bar and we'd run out the tank to see where we could get to and then use the gas can to get back in. we saw some amazing turf doing that.
