Well me and Lisa went for a long ride on sunday with a mate of mine us on the tiger him on his sprint and went up to the top of the cairngorms to cafe on the top of the mountain ..well when i got there ( about 100 miles ) i was in agony with my back... ive just been finding as i get older the upright riding position of the tiger was realy starting to hurt my back and find myself constantly leaning forward to take the pressure off .
So after a nice cup of tea and a peace of cake i was talking to John about my back problems and he suggested i try his sprint out , i must admit i didn't think it would be very comfy after the tiger , .... well i was amazed !! it was so comfy and fitted me just right even Lisa said ....there's more leg room and my legs are not as bent as on the tiger !
And on the other hand John was loving the tiger and the ride home was realy fun and seamed to take half as long , when we arrived back at home John ( jokingly ! ) said i like that do you want to swap ?? so i just said .... yes ok !! ...... so we did last night !

It only has 13058 miles on the clock and has a set of brand new panniers and loads of extra's so i dont need to spend any money on it .... just ride !!

Ye well my friend was starting to find it a bit tight on the knees ... i seem to have the opposite problem ive found i like my feet set back a bit and a more forward riding possition, i like to have my weight a bit more on my thighs rather than my back and i have to say i cant believe how comfy it is ! TUP.

Im very happy with it and my mate is over the moon with the tiger ...... its funny how stuff works out !
I have to say the 1050 engine is superb and pulls from kick over to rev limiter so smooth and at the same time rev's very quickly , the handling is brilliant ( although the tiger handled brilliant as well ... but was a tad top heavy ) and it rides just effortlessly with no fuss ! the only cloud is the front brake which is a bit spongy ( its ABS ) and seems to be the norm on the sprint .... the brake works fine just not a lot of feel !
Other than that its :awesome:

Im not sure yet what im going call it ..... ive not riden it enough yet to get a propper feel for its character ! ..... but in the the TT tradition i will hold poll to come up with a name TUP

NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO:y147::y49::y19::y26:

It sure looks like you will be the last of us keys ! ...... ive not had chance to name her yet but once ive had a bit more time in the saddle i will open it up to you guys and see what happens .
I was very sorry to see the tiger go (there a fantastic bike ) but after riding them for the past 7 or 8 years it was becoming more apparent that the riding position was just not right for me anymore ( to upright ) , its funny when everybody else is looking to get more upright as they get older im the opersite and need to be a bit more forward with the weight off my back and more on the top of my legs , but at the same time keeping a reasonably upright handle bar to keep the weight off the wrists .
Its becoming more apparent to me that my riding days may be coming to and end sooner than i wanted them too , my arthritis is starting to make it difficult to ride any distance much more than 60 miles without having to stop SIGH and its getting hard to find a triumph thats comfy !
To be honest my GSX1400 is the closest ive come (with a few mods ive done ) to a comfy riding posision that i can get some miles in ..... getting older is a real pain in the ass !!! :ohwell:
