Going price for a 1979 Triumph Bonneville "Special"?

I saw a '79 listed locally for 3500.00 on craigslists a month back.. no picture.. I was tempted to go look at, but knew it would be a mistake.. I already have 4 bikes and knew if it was nice and I didn't get it, I would have regrets probably for the rest of my life..
