Later today my wife and I are heading down to our cottage on the lake for a week or ten days - depending on the weather. I don't have computer access so will be out of touch for a while, but I might come back to town in the middle of the week to check things out since I'm only an hour away.
When my wife's health began failing a couple of years ago she gave up driving so that means I have to leave my bikes behind. Too bad since it's a lovely area for riding.
Oh well, I have a jetski so when I'm out on the water I'll pretend it's a bike :ya2:

Thanks guys, I am having a great time.
I popped back to the city today for a couple of hours, to collect the mail, etc., but will return to the lake for the weekend.
The weather has been perfect (at long last!) - very warm and a bit humid. I've been busy chopping and stacking wood, doing minor repairs and chores around the property, putting my feet up when I feel like it, zipping around on the jetski - and when I get too hot and sweaty I throw myself into the lake to cool off :ya2:
See ya in a couple of days.

We're back in the city after 10 days at the lake.
We were there by ourselves and I don't have any pictures. My wife isn't very mobile so while I was outside doing things she was on the deck taking it easy or inside watching TV. She's not much interested in taking pictures anyway.
As for the Stanley Cup, I didn't see it in person, but I did catch much of the hoopla on TV.
I have a log splitter that did most of the heavy work making firewood, but I did some chopping too. Noting too strenuous, but it's nice swinging an axe and getting in some physical activity - especially after the shoulder injury I had last year. It's great being my old self again and not having a weak wing to worry about.
We arrived home around noon so I jumped on the Bonneville and went for a ride for a couple of hours. Hadn't been on a bike for nearly two weeks :ya2:

The Stanley Cup celebration was a massive event with thousands of people attending. Several of our TV channels carried morning events live as Sidney stepped off the miliary chopper with the Cup.
Sidney was his usual gracious and polite self. His parents and family were beside themselves with pride - and they should be!
