My last big cruiser, a Kawasaki, 2000, had a pretty cool little gauge, which had just LCD blocks that would disappear, each of which represented about a gallon. I did get to liking that. I always use the trip meter especially to calculate my mpg‘s, so that’s what I’ll use on the R3. I haven’t actually found what my range is to the fuel light coming on, because I’ve only had short rides of 40 or 50 miles at a whack.Well it seems this is a common problem on the Rocket and from what I read some suggest replacing the unit is the way to go. Personally I never did trust any fuel gauge I have ever had on a bike. I normally just go by my tac reading and distance traveled as I found this method to be the safer way of doing it.
