Hi everyone.

Can anyone tell me about Fuel Gauge Sender specifications? The fuel gauge doesn't work in my Tex. I have that on my hands because a mechanic took it off to me.

And I'd like to fix it because I can't find out another one for buying.

I suspect your gas/petrol in Brazil may have an undesirable amount of ethanol in it. In this case, I think the fix might be to remove the float and clean it with carburetor cleaner. That may not be the only way to fix it, just my first instinct.

It's nice tip. I'll do it tomorrow.
tks.

Also check all the wiring and connectors for the sending unit to ensure no broken wires or corrosion in the connectors. Once apart maybe have a reputable shop or garage check the unit to make sure it's working.

Hi!, Qship.

I've already check it out but nothing problem detected.

Even so, I checked out the values of resistance in 12 steps of the circuit. The values go from around 12 ohms till 120 ohms but I don't have any idea if those values are rigth/good.

The mechanic installed the gauge on the bike but nothing are showed on dashboard. Even "red alert light" of low fuel turns on.

So, I'm looking for the specifications about the value of resistances.

Thanks a lot for your attention to my question.

regards

Rinaldo
