Each Friday the mall in out small city is home to a Growers Market.

This sight made me take a snap, it just struck me as poignant, mid 1800's church, 1960's commercial building and the shade tents that are only there for about 6 hours.

Walked around the corner and next to the organic growers tent was this Bentley worth about $600,000 getting a $88 parking ticket. :y2:

Then in a slightly rundown street (I parked in free all-day parking) this building had it's own organic produce. :y13:

Very COOL, love seeing these types of photos of places like this TUP

Dave, if you go to google maps and enter "Crown & Kembla St Wollongong Australia" zoom in a couple of times then place the little man in the middle if the intersection you can turn the street view in each direction. You can see the mall with it's many fountains, the black glass building on the other corner is the Telstra Centre for our area, that's where you'd work if you were attached to the Wollongong area.:y15: You can see the first floor of the Telstra building over that Bentley car photo.

Cool pics Kev
we have these sorts of markets to,but usually on a Saturday.
The one we have locally also has homemade wares and arts and crafts as well.
Have picked up some nice artwork for gifts etc.

Very cool Kevin I took a walk up the mall stop off at the post office to check for mail and then had a bite to eat at Molinari Cafe BBEER Stopped outside the church to have a chat with me mate Bruce (that's me with the umbrella in hand) :y2:

This street view is amazing stuff I always enjoy using it TUP

We call those Farmer's Markets. They are becoming things of the past in many places, but they used to be in almost every town.

The nearest city to me has on every Saturday morning in the warm months. Lots of Amish folk sell their produce there as well as "English" farmers.

The city of Philadelphia has a huge one year round that's been going on since the 1700s and is enclosed in an old warehouse style building.
