Particularly fond of the blue and white Monte Carlo in the opening shots. My first Car was a MOnte Carlo, factory custom ordered 454 engine. Man I miss that car, not the gas mileage, but the car. THe Flat fronted van was cool, always wanted one of those. And the Chevelles & Vettes, all nice.

I had one of these exactly like this one back in the day. It ran like a scalded cat!

I hated every year TA after that. They got to be associated with mullets :)

The big bird on the hood was so ugly too.

In'69 and'70 they were actual low production numbers only built to race in the Trans Am series.

This came with Koni shocks, road race suspension, and racing brakes. The shaker hood actually flipped open at 1/2 throttle. The only difference between this and mine is that mine had a tach bump on the hood facing the driver.

Here is a 64 Chevelle Malibu SS - not mine, but very similar.

Believe it or not....and I am not making this up or posting it to sound petty, but my Grandmother on my Mom's side actually had a '64 Chevelle SS convertible! I will never forget how we all laughed about that when she got it.

Funny story, my Great Grandmother had one of these. She (at 92) got in a heated argument with Cuban fella down in Pompano Beach Fl. one morning when his front end and her back end had a "meeting" at speed. Great Grandma was fine, car was fine.......the vette owner was LIVID and cussing her....(not a good move) she informed him quite sternly if he didn't drive a f'ing PLASTIC card it wouldn't have broke!!!!....lol.....she was a fire cracker! Dude shut up right on the spot just stood with his mouth open.
She was in a silver blue colored one of these :y2:
