An Urban Menace that would warm Mad Max’s heart…
Max and Erica Droog, the husband/wife team behind Droog Moto, seem to be inventing a whole new genre of custom bike: the urban brawler, a modern sportbike stripped down and reconceived into a Mad Max-ian machine that incorporates design cues from scramblers, streetfighters, and street trackers.

Enter MOTO 13, a Triumph Daytona 675 “Urban Menace” with fat knobby tires, a 128-hp triple-cylinder engine, motocross bars, number plate, and a stripped-down dearth of aerodynamic plastics. The bike is heavy with attitude, begging to slice and dice the urban gridlock, hopping curbs and indulging in various hooliganism.

We both have always had an interest in the Triumph Daytona. With its unique body lines and the kick-ass 3 cylinder motor we knew once again, it was time to break out the angle grinder. We exposed the bike’s internals and ripped off the plastic coverings and un-needed items. We could have easily started with a Street Triple but that’d be too easy!

We like the challenge and the unpredictable issues that pop up with building a new modern machine. The Daytona has this fierce jet fighter whirl to it that we wanted to compliment the build to. The stock subframe was removed and a modern but simplistic one was fabricated and put in place. This also holds a lightweight Anti Gravity battery and some minor electronics.

The fuel tank was stripped away of its natural state and was attacked by our signature tank treatments. The front end was gone through and we put 1 1/8” handlebars in place, new grips and had to do a total wire harness tuck and relocate along with a new speedometer mount.

A burly tracker plate was attached to the front of the build that support discreet signals and a center mounted vent for the Daytonas intake system.

All lighting is tucked and discreet along with being LED.

The 675’s exhaust was redone to compliment a new silencer and tone. We went with fully adjustable rear sets for rider comfort and better styling.

The wheels were given our handmade aluminum wheel inserts and wrapped in Michelin Anakee Wild tires.

We set out to build this Daytona into a wild Urban Menace ready to take over the city streets. As always, it is up for grabs and more pics and details can be found on our site!
