Just now planned my 1st road trip on her since carb installed. From Orange County to PCH south & down to San Juan Capistrano. then over the Ortega Hiway to the Elsinore Valley & through to Murrieta for the 2 day 'Jazz/Blues Festival there on April 20 & 21 (have a friend to stay with) & then back again. I think my 'Engine Ponie' & me can do that, eh ?

Just checked out MapQuest & that will be about 120 scenic miles one way. That's good for 'starters' on a 'thumper', eh ?

y old stomping grounds, I grew up in SJC, rode the Tega on my Suzuki 550 and them Yami Seca 750 too many times to count. I remember SJC's population being less that 3000. We rode of dirtbikes from SJC to SC, no house just hills and orange groves. I won't step foot in CA now but sure miss the NorCal riding out of Chico .

Do take pics!
Unfortunately, for once, my mobile phone is just a 'flip top' & doesn't support transfer of pics. To me, a phone is just for emergencies. The 'Bummers' & me (my high school gang for protection), used to enjoy walking or hitchhiking to each other's homes to truly communicate. I'm still that way, ya know ? I don't take any 'pics', but relish my memories. It's just the S. Cali. coast & Ortega mountains. However, when I get back, my Son will take pics of my bike when I'm finished (waiting for one more part). Thanx for your well wishes and interest though. Future Archeologists when they find the ruins of our civilization will present the evidence to Anthropologists, and say "What do you make of THIS ?". After much study, the Anthropologist will reply "Incredible. An ancient civilization based upon self photography."

I don't do selfies.

I'm so 'jazzed' to 'be back' from an extended injury (3 years), that if my Wife (RIP) were still here, she'd answer every question about my whereabouts with "You know him. He must be in the garage admiring his motorcycle again. I'll go see."

I relate completely to everything you said. Thankfully it only took me a year to recover from my crash. And I certainly miss my soul mate.
