Giacomo Agostini 1967 MV Augusta 500cc Triple:

Italeria release 1983, scale 1:9
This is the most detailed and complex model I've ever built. The engine is multiple parts, including crankshafts, pistons, con rods, cylinder sleeves and covers. Probably been revised in later releases. The decals had aged a lot and were brittle making it very hard to apply.

it must be great when people ask what bike you got !! and you can real of all these models . ( well its not lying .....its true ! ....its just there a bit smaller than usual :y2: )

Thanks guys! Those are the only finished ones I have. Got some boxes to get stuck into now it's winter again, makes the weekends fly by I can tell you.
I only do world championship winning bike / riders.

I'm quite ahead on buying them, it's just getting round to the building. lol

I'm still after a "Barry Sheene Suzuki" in 1:9 or 1:6 scale though.

Costs? Hmmm depends on the brand, but anywhere from R300 ZA (cheap 1:9 scale) or over a grand on the larger models with official brand releases.

1:12 scales are tiny and not made very well. You also get those pre painted, build-in-an-hour kits, but really what's the point. :D

All over the place Silli, if I see a hobby or toy shop I go in.

Greenstone Mall had a good selection last time I bought. (The one near TTC)

Also the Radio Control shop in East Rand Value mall, mainly old stock though, has plenty of aviation models.
