Well.........here is the perfect Fathers Day story.....Most of my day was spent replacing the anti sway bar bracket supports on my Subaru, because the back end was banging and making noise, and the "shop" told me I needed new struts!!! (like 1200.00) I said......uhm NO (asshats). Did some research, found it MIGHT be the supports...38.00 on ebay, and a bit of time in the ol garage today and BAM fixed.....AWESOME.......as I am patting myself on the back and heading to the fridge to open the celebratory beer....one of my boys calls, to inform me he needs a ride ..because his transmission in his truck just crapped the bed........and.....he has no cash to fix it...........well, good on me for saving the 1162.00 today as I will be donating a large chunk in a "loan" to fix his transmission.......its just the "Dad" gig ya'll Dad Savings and Loan (lol ---really.....loan lol wow...lol for the record I have never given any of my children/step children a dime that I EVER expect to see back, I just sleep better this way) So...I guess Fate was just gonna take a Grand outta my butt this month regardless.
I got a nice grill set, dinner and a 6 pack of Guinness though, so........I ain't complaining

I was presented with a batch of home made cookies and then taken out for a nice Chinese food dinner.
When I got home I made tea; ate some of the cookies and watched a John Wayne movie.

Pretty good day for me too. An entire pan full of nachos for lunch, kicked back and watched today's two College World Series games while taking part in my own Blazing Saddles bean scene.

The evening went pretty good too, Swedish Meatballs for supper during the second game and more Blazing Saddles moments.

I didn't get a gift, I was told Saturday afternoon to order my own or they would go with me to pick up something . . . So I ordered crash bars for the Tiger, now have to wait on the big brown truck to show up.

I slept in after several very long days at work. Got up and went to watch the NASCAR race with dad (Kasey Kahne finally had a decent finish), then my wife and I took my dad, our kids and her parents out to dinner. Went home and watched Game Of Thrones then hit the hay early. All-in-all a pleasant day.
