As far as setting the frame the upper piece needs to go as high as possible. There is a slotted bolt hole that allows for adjustment. The first bolts to attach should be the two adjacent to the headlight. Then the upper two and lastly the lower two. It becomes rigid with the bolts even partially attached. For any work the outer fairing cover likely needs to be removed.

This is how the regulator rectifier looks. The horn will be below it, but I need to see if I can rotate the horn to get the connector close to where they need to attach to the horn. The regulator rectifier needs a longer wiring harness as noted in the other thread.

I’m planning on using a modified bracket cutting it into two pieces and locating it at the fairing lateral brace for the turn signals. Couldn’t find anything that worked and I do want the turn signals at least somewhat visible from the front and the turning side.

Working on modifying the turn signal bracket into two brackets. This is an initial fitting still need to detail it a bit, but it’s roughly how it will look. Cutting to in approximate place.

This should work pretty nicely.

Outstanding issues, fix wiring, brake reservoir, and wait on lay flat instrument bracket. Of course paint, but that will be after I get it all together and test ride. If my arm recovers by that time.

Starting to layout the wiring back in place.

The only wires that need slack for movement are ones coming off the handle bar. Can’t do any of the work with the fairing cover on. Luckily it’s actually very easy to take on and off, only six bolts. I’ll final fit the brackets and misc items now with the fairing off.

I say polish! When I saw image on the first post, I thought, Wow.
Might prove elusive getting a paint match to bike too. Slightly off would be, well, slightly off!

It’s a thought I’ve had. I’m still thinking about it. Thanks for the comment! It’s going to be a tough choice. Might need to make the rear seat cowl polished aluminum if that is the way I go.

Sounds better by the minute!
You could always rough them up and paint if unhappy.
Good thing about polished alloy, a scratch isn't life-altering experience, unlike on paint.
I've got quite a bit of polished alloy on my old bike--wheels, engine covers, forks. It's all low maintenance, really.

You can even brush in a pattern. Here's my alloy tank on project bike...

I used a green washing-up pad to satinise the panels as it was so snazzy it made me look scruffy.

I put aluminum fenders on mine, polished. Had to polish the front one myself since I could only find brushed, so I’ve had some practice and yes they are easy to touch up.

I could see the tank and side covers remaining yellow, the thing is I love the yellow too.

Hooked up all the wires. Everything reaches, still have to tuck a few items in the headlight, but it’s working and now waiting on my reservoir and the instrument panel bracket. It’s going to be close getting the wiring in from the instrument panel current position just makes it. Also the ignition key wiring is going to be close. Not much to do except wait for parts now.

Now waiting on the remaining parts orders. The part that should have come Tuesday is apparently “on route working through the system”. So who knows. No word on my instrument panel although it’s over 3 weeks since I was told it would be likely 4 weeks subject to change. Although I’m anxious to to get this together to a rideable condition, I’m still recovering from my fall. I saw a sports doctor yesterday and will need a MRI and therapy. Likely have a torn rotator cuff injury. I can use it some, but no full movement. Certainly wouldn’t risk riding the way it is.
