As some here may or may not know.......as a "hobby" I buy/sell/flip/fix and Frankenstein guitars (that is using multiple bits and bobs from multiple broken or crap guitars to make one good functional guitar)
Most are sold off ---hopefully for profit lol--- but the cream of the crop tend to hang around.

Yesterday was (as is today) a rain soaked stormy day.....so home repair/renovation and lawn care projects are on hold.......more time to complete this:

A Gibson Explorer Copy a friend started ---2.5 YEARS ago and finally sent to me to complete a couple months back as he had lost interest in the project, but wanted to see her complete.
As she was sent to me.........

Still some tweaking and fine tuning to be done.....and the electrics are "sub par" --to be honest I slapped em in just to get it "working" I have ordered a new set of volume and tone knobs and will replace when they come in.. Not a bad way to kill a crappy rainy day :)

It does, and has very low action. I was suprised how COMFORTABLE it is to play.....it looks all hard and pointy but feels great playing seated.
It is Mahogany Shane and it has a set in neck which give a great resonant tone .......very nice ---especially for free lol ;)

Ye people don't seem to understand that the wood type is very important when it comes to sound , as different woods resonate different sounds depending on how hard or shoft they are .

TO some extent .....though I have had a plywood guitar......and currently have one that is (odly) 5 thin pieces of basswood glued and clamped (one on top of the other) and cut to shape....its a Harley Benton Gold Top Les Paul........wheres that pic

Should (by many counts) sound like crap-----but it sounds REALLY GOOD--- for a low end cheapo purchased from Thormann ;) yep.....shipped to me from Germany lol
My guitar insanity is international. lol I just shipped a Sold guitar to Puerto Rico last month, and have a guy from Greece looking at one I have on ebay ......I am a multinational gear conglomerate! ---High Tech Redneck ;)

Oh we will NEED a build thread Mr. Bee.
This one will get tweaked and kept. Period. when I am given a guitar it does not get sold off. These are the cherished few that never leave. :)
I am a "flipper" but I have a sentimental side as well. Lol.
