Bonneville T100
I have often wondered if there is anyone out there who has even toyed with the idea of swapping out an old T140 (say a 1979 Bonney) engine with a new Bonny engine (say a modern fuel injected engine- 2014 engine for example). Can it be done and what mods would have to be made to do this? Kind of like me putting a 350 Chevy engine in a 1953 Chevy truck which also includes swapping out the entire drive train (running gear -engine, transmission, drive shaft and differential). Or a second option would be to use a 1979 fuel tank to replace the fuel tank on a 2014 equivalent bike. Again what mods would have to be made for this swap.

OK, it's not really the answer to your question, in fact it's not even close to an answer, but last year at one of the many bike nights we have in Lincolnshire a guy did this to his Speed Triple, so it can be done.
Lots of people walked past it, then double backed when they realised what the engine was.

you know what Garry,I think that looks really cool.I would have to take a double look but that man had a vision!Superb, bet it handles well, light and flickable, lovely.

I agree it looks well neat. I hope that the weather improves over here when you pick your bike up, you might want to buy a jet ski instead, there's no sign of summer here at all.

Seen the weather, snow in Londontoday,it's cool here in SW France, need heating on end of April, not normal.
Doesn't bode well for French Moto Gp soon,or my ride back soon!! What to pack??
