emails do you keep them

I was just wondering how many people read their emails and then delete them. I am one of those that keep them all. From time to time I will archive them but have found that you just never know when one of those everyday mails may become important for what ever reason.

In today's time with large capacity HD I just cannot see any reason to delete them. Unless of course you are a member of the CIA and you don't want any state secrets to get out

I have nothing saved, read and delete. If it's important I may keep it for a week, after a week if it hasn't been accessed it's gone.

I have on countless occasions had to go back to a mail maybe a year later to get information from it for some or other reason and at the time that mail was not that important really.

Oh boy so when I send you lot a heart warming mail I just get flushed

I don't keep them either.
If it's anything important I usually print it and put it in an appropriate file in my cabinet.
But when I get a heart-warming message from DaveM I always keep those.....yes, of course I do

I weed through them and end up keeping about 40% of my emails. Those I archive every now and then - when I remember to do it.

I keep anything of any importance at all. I even on occasion will export them to a folder on my external HD so I don't lose them in a desktop crash.

Well every Friday night I do backups to my external drive as well. I hate losing my PC information

I delete most of them, except for my school/work emails....I especially keep ones from my supervisor so when they come back to ask why I would do something in such a silly way I have the email saved that shows they told me to do it that way, despite me telling them it was silly.
