According to the press because it was not liked in the US market Triumph with the Rocket Touring broke with its tradition of double headlights (other than on the Parallel Twins which also have one and on the Sprint ST 1050 which has three)

Apparently with the new Dyna Fat Bob Harley Davidson didn’t get to the same conclusion.

Call me "behind the times" or a traditionalist, but I like the look of a single headlight on unfaired bikes.
Bikes that are covered in plastic look fine and streamlined with the headlights molded in.
On some bikes with dual headlights (Triumph included), with no surround to encase them, to me they look awkward and just hanging out there in the breeze. They strike me as an after thought and not pleasing to my eye.
They look like two bug-eyes starring at me with a blank expression.
But that's just me.

Similar to Rocky, being a bit retro with bikes I prefer the single headlight, being a Yorkshireman I also like only having to buy 1 bulb as well. :y18:

I am in the camp with Rocky and Geoff. I am old school and prefer the look of a single headlight on an unfaired bike. I don't object the auxiliary spot lights that many V-twins have. I prefer the Rocket with the single lamp.
