Just had to smile at this. Went to a coffee shop between client meetings this morning to kill a little time. First I had to look for someone to serve me, then I had to ask for my table to be wiped down then I ordered a 'toasted bacon & egg sandwich'. No bacon. So I ordered a ham, cheese & tomato. No ham. Then I couldn't have a cafe late because there wasn't enough milk! So I opted for a muffin and filter coffee but alas, the muffins hadn't been delivered yet unless I wanted one from Friday!!! I know times are tough but how do you expect to survive if you can't actually supply 90% of what's on the menu? Crazy stuff but I had a good chuckle nonetheless. :ya2:

Time to move on to another coffee shop :ya2:
At least you handled it well and had a chuckle over it.
On second thought maybe that stale muffin from Friday could have been had for half price :y114:

When the service is bad it can spoil your morning.
My wife and I do love it when the service is absolutely atrocious as yours was. It allows you to take that moment away and laugh about it over and again. We have a couple of favorites that from time to time come to mind and bring a smile to our day.

That is so true otherwise.
When my wife and I are travelling by car we've had a few "odd" experiences in some "odd" places. As we ride along we frequently bring the incidents up or refer to them and we crack jokes about them and laugh our heads off. It makes the long miles seem shorter.
We're planning another run down to New England next month and will probably have some "laughs" along the way.
But in the main we have very little to complain about and have always enjoyed our trips. We are seasoned travellers who started out with a tent and a station wagon in 1971 so not much bothers us. Incidents and experiences make life worth living - as long as you can laugh later.
