Just a quick update on the outcome.
The Asian lady who graduated from the Stevie Wonder school of driving went to court last week and has lost her licence for 6 months and has to pay me $1201 in reparation.
Nice to see the law is still looking after us

That is great news, Harry. That sounds like justices was served. I like New Zealand's laws!! :y115: I would be interested to know how the court arrived at $1201? Did you go to court?

No Carl, there was no need for me to appear.
Re: the reparation figure,
$200.90 was for medical bills and X-rays after the hospital visit which was free, and repairs to my boots.( had to be re- heeled ),
The remaining $1000.00 was for pain and suffering.
All other costs and loss of income was covered by ACC and Insurance.

All things considered, you came out well - especially since you were able to walk away. I am glad it cost her something in addition to the fine. Maybe she will look for motorcycles now and not injure anyone else.

So at the end you came out a bit better off beside the pain and suffering
