Thank you for the amazing expression of concern and support in response to my earlier announcement of the untimely death of Dave Strauss (founder of Highway Riders MC and respected Durban biking icon). Your kindness means everything to Dave's family and the family of Highway Riders MC.
We will gather on Saturday 9 February 2008 to honour Dave and celebrate his life. Arrangements are as follows:
09h00 - Gather at Southgate Mall, Edwin Swales Road, Durban for the start of a mass ride procession leaving at 09h30
10h00 - Memorial Service at Highway Community Church, 10 Harvey Road,
Pinetown.
THE WAKE - There has to be one! Dave would want us to celebrate his life and gather in the spirit of biker fraternity that he worked exceptionally hard to foster. After the Memorial Service we will make our way to Durban Thumpers Club in Umbilo. (Just follow the crowd). A cash bar is available at very reasonable prices.
If anyone can assist with snacks and eats at the wake, please contact DAWN GADDS at [email protected]. As you know, Dave is well known, respected and loved throughout the South African biker community. We are expecting a sizeable turnout.
