Reading the comments seems they had a bad smash doing this some time later and a few are now in wheelchairs

Stupidity hurts, that's for sure.
Stunting like that in a controlled place is risky enough, but doing it on a public highway at those speeds is beyond irresponsibility and reckless endangerment.
Kill yourself if you want, you idiots, but don't risk the lives and limbs of others!!!! You do not have that right!!!
Unfortunately, these days, becoming a hero and claiming your few minutes of fame on YouTube is driving this crazy behaviour.
It's all about, "Look at me! Aren't I wonderful and don't I deserve your admiration and respect?"
You don't get much admiration and respect from a wheelchair - or a grave.

We have a group/gang on Busas and other such bikes around here that has a regular ride down one of the freeways with speeds approaching 200 MPH, the Harris County Sheriff's Department has told their deputies to not attempt to stop them. They can try to stop them once they exit the freeway. In Dallas they have a group of the same mental giants that blocks one of their freeways every Memorial Day to honor one of their members that was killed in a crash while stunting on that freeway.

Hear! Hear!

And I have no pity on them. They got exactly what they deserve.

It's pretty hard to have sympathy for anyone who is deliberately stupid and brings it upon themselves.
Extreme risk takers should expect nothing more.
Unfortunately, if they survive and are crippled, they become a burden to themselves and anyone who cares about them for the rest of their lives.
That's the really sad part - the burden they bring upon others.
