I've been thinking of adding a set of crash bars to my T100 and these are the choices.
The triangular Triumph bars don't appeal to me much and the other hoop-style seem over stated.
I have a set of the black Renntec bars on my H***a and they look like they came from the factory.
The two other pics are the Renntec bars and I quite like the chrome set shown.
Any opinions?

I like the look of the very last pic. When I first got the Speedmaster and it never had crash bars I was a little worried about it as it was the first bike I have even had without. I was also going to add crash bars but the ones I could find locally just would have not looked good on the bike. I then was also going to import but that drove the overall price up and at the time I just could not warrant it. Over time I sort of got used to the idea of not having any and the drive to get them faded away. However I still think having them is the better way to go

Rocky, several folks I know have the Renntec bars and they look good. The advantage of the Triumph bars is that help protect the tank in case you drop the bike because they stick out further. Also, you can easily mount highway pegs on them and stretch out while cruising.

I have a highway bar on mine and it also serves as a crash bar.

Hmmm, yes, there is tank protection to consider too.
But like Dave said, we've come this far without them............
Much to consider.
Thanks for the input.

I may not have explained myself clearly. I don't have crash bars/engine bars on my T100. I do have a highway bar that made a pretty good crash bar when the bike got knocked over in a parking lot.My tank did not touch the pavement. I do have engine bars on my Tiger - and they work well. I have dropped it four times off road.

No problem, I understood what you meant.

I thought I liked the last one till I saw the pipe running around the back of the barrels.
If you could get that shape without the horribl cross bar that would be acceptable I guess, but personally I am a less is better dude.

I have the Rentec bars , They look the best and are a lot more solid that the others on the market
That bar around the back makes it really solid

I agree Boof, a mate has genuine Triumph bars on his R3 and honestly I could bend then with my hands. If you are going to have bars then they should be strong.

Thanks guys TUP
The Renntec bars I have on my H***a are the same shape as those shown. They are a semi-gloss powdercoat and compliment the bike. Most people think they came with the bike.
I agree about the bar going around the back of the engine, but that adds to the strength and there really isn't any other way to do it.
I favour the Renntec bars, but I'm still on the fence - for now :y2:

I would not have put the Triumph crash bars on my bike. They were on when I bought it. I don't find them unattractive and I hope I never need them.

Its a fact of life Seeker Tiggers like to "nap" from time to time, mine has been over a few times...poor choice of kickstand placement.....rain softening the soil....and a trailer unload undertaken without assistance (stupid) and with a knackered back to boot......hurt to bad had to let her go down.....worst damage was replacing the front turn signals (5.00 on fleabay) and an excuse to add a couple new decals to the saddle bags :y2: They are sort of "engineered" to allow these little naps....though I have been looking at crash bars being my next "big" upgrade, plus with the right bars I could ad some highway pegs for stretching out on long runs which wouldn't suck either. lol
