Command of the English Language

Just down the road from where I work we have this small shop that sells the normal odds and end plus they have a small takeaway as well. It belongs to a Chinese family and their command of the Hinglish Language is not that great. So each time I do need to purchase something I try and talk S-l-o-w-l-y and as distinctly as I possible can. Today I stop off and walk in and ask for a Coke Light. So off he walks and I stand and wait rather a long time. The next thing he returns with a tub and says to me one cully and lice (curry and rice) thanks you

Does coke light go well with your curry lice... Err rice? In spite of all the quirky little nuances, I am guessing their engrish is much better than my Cantonese. Sometimes I do wonder if such events are intentional.... Have you ever seen an Asian gameshow? Next time look for a hidden camera!
