Oh my god !!!! Yes, i DID !!! And it's a story i always tell to this day some 47 years later ! It was Xmas '61 i believe. All i wanted was a robot commando. And my parents being the great parents they were made sure there was one under the tree when i woke up on xmas day. I was thrilled beyond words to say the least. But the friggin thing was partially broken, and so was my little 8 year old heart when my parents told me they took it back only to find they didn't have any more. So i was extremely bummed out and only had a few minutes of play. But it's so incredible you mentioned this because it is one of those things that stuck with me all these years, and i have told the story countless time. I even looked them up on ebay once....man, you don't wanna know what old toys like that go for !!!
today my robot commando is the Tbird. I just hope if i get one it doesn't have to go back like my RC did.
I take it you had one too Avion?

By 1961 I was long into cars, motorcycles, and firearms (and girls).
