Our vintage bike club held their annual Christmas party last evening at the residence of a club member.
This is the social event of the year with the awarding of annual trophies, door prizes and a turkey and ham potluck supper.
The door prizes are awarded in a random draw of numbers and this is a few of the "goodies."

This member has an insane collection of bikes and these are just a few in his basement "museum." I counted 47, but there are others in another building/garage.

In one corner he built an old fashioned workshop.

Our annual awards consist of the following and is held for a year:

Hard Luck Award - the one that nobody wants, but is given to anyone who had mechanical problems on a club ride or event.
Most Avid Rider - awarded to a member who attended and supported the most club rides over the summer.
President Choice - awarded to a member who went out of his way to support the club.
Most Valuable Member - voted on by the members to the person who they feel worked hardest during the year to make the club rides and events a success.

I was voted Most Valuable Member this year :y153:

Congrats Rocky on your award.
It takes perseverance and dedication to make these clubs work. Glad you were recognized for it.
Thanks Q TUP
I'm the secretary/treasurer, and without bragging too much, I do a lot behind the scenes to keep this club going and as successful as it is every year.
We have 163 members and it takes a lot more work to keep things on the straight and narrow than most realize.
Fortunately for them, I'm retired and have the time to do it and have been doing it for about 17 years.

At least half a dozen of the collection are ready to ride, but most are static display.

Great work done from your side Rocky and well done on the award. That workshop he built is really cool.

You guys really have a nice club and I always enjoy seeing your ride reports on your club rides.
