I fitted a Norman Hyde Stand. I found it necessary to buy the additional lifting handle to go with this as the foot pedal does not give sufficient lift as you stand on it to raise the bike. In fact I also had to make a mini ramp out of a piece of decking off cut. It is just under 9 inches long and 1.25 inches in height. I have to drive the bike onto this as the extra height assists in lifting the bike onto the stand otherwise it requires herculean effort.

I have to carry this with me in one of the pannier bags.

Do you remember if it was a Rivco or Norman Hyde stand? Maybe they re slightly different. I may just have to revert to using bike lifter when at home for chain lubing, adjusting, tyre changes & cleaning.
