We all know it's illegal, but i actually saw a woman this morning pull off to the side of the road to receive a call~ :y2:

Cops are now confiscating phones if they spot you using them. They had a blitz in Cape Town today and pulled 19 phones in one hour or something.

It's in the news if you wanna go check up on it. (Sorry read it on my phone and I'm too idle to post a link)

hth

I would favor that here. But first the State legislators would need to ban cell phone use while driving - something they have been extremely reluctant to do.

They just recently made texting while driving illegal in Pennsylvania.

You can talk on your cellphone while driving, but you are supposed to use some type of hands-free device to do that. All cellphones sold here come with an earbud and mic thingy.

Yeah...I enjoy watching a full-length movie while riding. Sometimes, I have to ride around the block a few times on the way home so I can catch the ending! I mean, who'd want to have to wait until the next ride to see the ending of Titanic"??

Don't tell me how it ended, I wasn't able to finish it on my last ride because the dern DVD player's batteries died on me.

I saw on the local news tonight that all across Pennsylvania there have only been 32 people ticketed for texting while driving in the Month or so that the law took effect.

That seems like an awfully low number!

Fully 60% of the drivers I see on the local suburban roads are using some sort of a device while driving. On the freeways (out of the urban areas) and on rural roads, I only occasionally see a device being used while driving, maybe 10% of the drivers.
