Having spoken to Duncan at TTC, Triumph are now moving over to Castrol oils.

Not sure on other models, but for my Speed Triple he recommended Castrol Racing 4T Fully Synthetic.
TTC didn't have any stock as they are still in negotiations with Castrol (presumably cost and stock). I sourced the oil from Honda East Rand, being the cheapest at R100.00 per litre, Full Throttle wanted R150!!!!

I did the oil change with a new filter and crush washer at my 'personal' 35 000 km service.

I read alot about the oil from websites and various google hits. Castrol states a 6.x% increase in acceleration from 0-100 km/h. meh - whatever.

What I can tell you though is...
It's red. Looks like automatic gearbox or power steering fluid. It has a consistency nearly like water, and it smells nice!!!

600 km's later, it's still red and smells devine.

The engine is slightly noisier at idle, but even from cold the gearbox is alot smoother.

...

I knew that Triumph had dropped Mobile and replaced it with Castrol. I am still using Amsoil. It is red also. Castrol does not make a 20W-50 or a 15W-50 in fully synthetic. As hot as is gets here, I am reluctant to switch to a 10W-40. I fell I need that estra margin on a hot summer day in traffic.
