We decided to have a run down to the Capesthorne Hall Classic Car and Bike show yesterday. Weather forecast was showers then brightening up. Ian came over to my house on his Ducati and we set off down the motorway to meet Graeme at Parbold.
The 50 miles down the motorway got wetter and wetter as we went. Undeterred, we met up with Graeme and headed into Cheshire to the show.
The weather got worse all the time, and by the time we had got to the show a lot of the exhibitors had gone home!
But I managed to get a few pictures,

After a look round the show, Graeme had mapped a route on his Sat Nav to avoid motorways so we set off following his Thruxton. Don't ask me where we went, all I know we rode through Cheshire and Derbyshire!
We did have to turn around at one point as the road turned into a track!

End of the road for us!

This is the view towards a very wet Glossop!

Graeme with Sat Nav in hand, and Ian looking less than impressed with the road!

We eventually found our route and had a good, albeit wet ride out.
225 miles in the rain and when I pulled into my driveway the sun came out!

Lol I suppose one of teh things about the ride is the adventure and you guys sure has some on the way back. Some great looking bikes very nice to see the Magneti Minarelli and it does look like it is is great condition.

The little Magneti Minarelli is beautiful.
It's no good riding a V8 motorbike without nitrous, we all know that. :y13:
Ian hasn't got that spirit of adventure, perfect road for the Ducati.:y15:

One place I did forget to mention from our ride was the 'Cat and Fiddle' road. It is supposed to be one of the most dangerous roads in England.
Here is a picture of what it looks like on a good day,

And this is me and Ian a bit be-draggled outside the pub at the top!

The weather was good practice for a little tour we are doing around Scotland in June.
You can get all 4 seasons weather in 4 hours in Scotland!

know that road well ! i was a tree surgion at chatsworth house for two years and traveled that road a lot , (between buxton and macclesfield ) its a great road or used to be ! till all the idiots started riding it and ruined it for the rest of use.
now the police have 50-40mph speed limits on it and police it like the mexican border !:y8:
