Interesting, but not for me.
When I came back to bikes in 1992 after an absence of 34 years I didn't even know what a Honda was - other than a car.
The same for all the other Japanese bikes, but I remembered the British bikes, BMW and a few others.
To each his own of course, but the café racer has never had any appeal for me.
They are too "single purpose" for my needs. I need bikes that are more versatile and something I can ride all day.

With some of them I could see myself really enjoying them but I always need to consider a pillion as well.
Some good some not so good, it seems that many cafe racer projects start with unloved/unappreciated models like CX500 and CB500/550. This at least keeps them off the scrap heap. Just not sure how much "racing" between cafes you could do on what look like old car tyres.
