Just been browsing around the site and doing some reading. There seems to be a lot of talk of the site closing down :tongue: Anyone know more about this

I dunno, but as far as i'm concerned that would be a thing. The people there are the most mean spirited group i've run into on all the triumph forums. I left there after altercations where i did nothing what so ever to call for the juvenile lashing i got, even after proving beyond a shadow of a doubt i was correct on the subject that was being discussed. But juvenile minds cannot admit being wrong and apologizing, they just lash out in anger instead. So i happily left that bunch of pre schoolers behind. So if what you are saying is right, good !! i still go there to find info on the Tbird, but i still could care less. I just hope the worse of thier bunch doesn't come over here.

Never ventured over either, it's not the quantity of sites, give me quality anyday - where respect is earned rather than taken for granted!

I was already bullied off one such Georgia based site, not even sure it's still running

Dave, I spend a little time there everyday but never noticed any talk like that except for some synicism about the photopost not working. Maybe I should pay more attention huh? after reading more the admin is really busy /overworked at his job and I know he hasn't posted in a long time and the moderators must be trying to keep the chaos down.
yes there is some mean spiritedness from some folks there but there are some great people there also. I saw you were there Dave :wink:

Yeah I pop in from time to time. It would be a pity if it does close as those folks really enjoy it as we all enjoy our certain forums. :y18:

Carl the original creator of the forum still pays the bills and he has been doing this for years even though he is not active in it any more.

he must be one dedicated dude.
on the most part, i find the site attitude to be pretty reasonable, but then, apart from getting told of for posting some jokes,( my normal innocent type ones :wink I've kept my nose pretty clean there.

Yeah he sure is dedicated and I cannot even think why he would do it. I was very surprised that they allowed that thread to run as when I asked about it some time back they all had a fit :silent: :y114:

I have been a member there since 04 or 05. I really enjoyed some of the people there, but some of them left and took a lot from the site. I checked in there last week after not being there in about six months, but did not notice anything about shutting down. I have really enjoyed this site and it is the only one that I visit at least on a weekly bases. Dave does a wonderful job here and the people are very supportive. I also like the cross section of of age and culture here. :y115:
