Hello All,
This is my first motorcycle and I am convinced (although didn't need any convincing) of buying a Bonnie. I took 2 Bonnie SE for a test ride over the weekend and think I am ready to pull the trigger so looking for guidance here. I looked at private sellers
Option 1 : Bonneville SE 2012 around 6000 miles - Great condition, after market performance exhaust, Fender elimination kit and smaller signal lights (good looking) rides great no issues, never dropped
Option 2: Bonneville SE 2009 around 2100 miles - Great condition, after market performance exhaust, rides great no issues, static drop and brake and clutch levers replaced tiny scratch on the throttle
Here is what I am struggling with I think I can get Option 2 (2009) @ around $700-800 less than Option 1 (2012), if I get Option 2 then I plan on doing at least the fender elimination kit and light signals so looking at at least $300. With Option 1 needs an oil change and apart from that I will be riding this as-is for at least a year before I look into any mods.
Regardless of the mileage I would think option 1 is better because its newer, I also felt that Option 1's engine was slightly powerful that Option 1 might be just how I felt.
What would be fair price on these models is somewhere between $4000 - $5000 a good price?
Appreciate your help in advance and look forward to see what the experienced folks here think

Thank You

Only you can decide how to spend your money.
Tough choice indeed!
For what it's worth I would probably go for the 2012 - mainly because it's newer. The mileage doesn't mean much.
Just my opinion.
Welcome to T T and don't forget to show us what you decided.

Agree option 1 all day long its newer and as said the milage is nothing plus option 2 has done a lot of standing around for a bke of that age and to me thats not good .

I'm trying to sell my 2009 Bonneville special edition and the question has come up about where it was built. I say parts in England, assembled in Thailand. Can anyone help with that question?
