I agree. The streets look untouched. No patched bomb craters or anything like that.
I'm always dismayed when I see the destruction of these grand old cities (including the British cities) and what has been lost forever.
Such a terrible waste in lives, resources and history - and it's still happening in parts of the world.
The human race will never learn.
 
I always wonder what sort of power Germany would be now, if it hadn't gone down the path of war, twice in as many years.

If we look at where they are now with technology you do wonder if the war effort resources were better used could they have now been even better. Then again did the war effort lead them to refining technology, so yes one does wonder what could have been either way.
 
Yes, the streets do look perfect. Maybe the buildings were damaged by direct fire from tanks and not aerial bombardment? It is July, so they had two months to clear the roads. Some sidewalks still have rubble on them.
