Can not figure what I am doing wrong will explain further below. Checked sag with Motion Pro Wheel Alinement Tool. Should call it sag checker. Works great and accurate. I have 9 mm sag running down lenght of fork. Sitting on it hardly anything. Get 9 mm pushing hard up and down on fork. Anyway

Yes, they would be sticking way up and I would never get the caps on. Is this what you mean? The front wheel is off the ground. Looking at the bike the steel spacer is on the right per dealer manual. Plastic spacers cut at 132 mm each side. Using schedule 40 pvc. Put together exactly as dealer picture. Both are almost dead even at top of fork in air. The left looking at bike is 1 to 2 mm lower probably because of washer. I will fix that. The way I have it I have 9 mm of sag sitting on bike wife balancing. When I took it out it jarred my teeth and head bad and will break something. If I hit a bump in corner I am toast. Pumped pushing cap up and down before tighting for air trapped. Had to press with socket to get cap on so know right height. All I can think of is fork oil level bad from factory but would that do it? It worked before this. Is it the wrong springs? All I can think of. Broke one original plastic spacer. All I can thing of now is getting new one and go back stock. If it works we come back to springs. Certainly can not shorten spacers to 107 mm. I am 210 lbs with full gear. Mike

I am only guessing here as you do not say what bike you are talking about, but if it is a Bonneville there are 2 different length TEC fork springs. One length is for Bonneville and T100 with 19" front wheels and the shorter springs are for Bonneville and SE models with 17" front wheels. It sounds like you could be trying to fit the long springs in the shorter forks. Hope this helps.
