We've finally had a break in the wet weather with an expected temp of 22C (72F) so in about 30 minutes I'm hitting the road for a day ride. My objective is the Air Force museum at AFB Greenwood about three hours away.
Next weekend is the Canadian Thanksgiving long weekend so I have plans to take my wife away to the nearby island province of Prince Edward Island. We're staying at a nice hotel and will be waited on which will be a nice change for my wife.
The island is only three hours away, and now connected to the mainland by a bridge, but neither of us have been over there in many years.
This will be a test run for a planned trip to New England in early November. My wife's health is tentative, and has been for years, so the weekend trip will show if she's up to a longer run.

I had a great day out on the road by myself. I like riding alone at times. I can go as slow or fast as I want to and stop when and where I want to.
After I visited the museum I rode some of the back roads through the valley farm country where I was born and raised. One of my favourite roads was re-paved this year and was as smooth as glass. It's lightly traveled, and quite straight with only a few sweepers, but flows over hill and dale. I admit to bending the speed limit a little bit :y15:
The valley farm area is situated between two small mountains so I rode up to the top and took this shot of the valley below. I'll start another thread with museum pictures.
